Underlying Challenges in Biomaterials: the 10th annual meeting for The Scandinavian Society of Biomaterials.
NIOM senior scientist Håkon Valen Rukke will participate at The Scandinavian Society of Biomaterials 10th annual meeting in Hafjell, March 15-17 (ScSB 2017).
Valen Rukke will present findings from NIOM on how methacrylated chitosan in denture base materials can reduce the formation of biofilm. Read the abstract here: Chitosan incorporated in denture base resin reduce biofilm formation of Streptococcus mutans and Candida albicans.
The scientific programme for ScSB 2017 announces that the meeting will ”bite into the underlying challenges faced by the field of biomaterials and tissue engineering and will focus on digging into some of the fundamental questions in biomaterial science.”
Another aim of the meeting is to create a productive environment for dialogue between students and young aspiring scientists with more experienced and established scientists in the field.
