Amela Tulek

Scientist

Amela Tulek has been employed at NIOM since January 2024. She gained her degree of Doctor of Dental Science at the University of Banjaluka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and did her dissertation at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Oslo.

She is primarily interested in tooth erosive wear development mechanisms, treatment modalities and preventive strategies. Projects on wear of different direct and indirect dental restorative materials are another field of interest. The research work at NIOM comprises in vitro and in vivo studies while collaborating with researchers in both Norway and international. Amela is also contributing to testing of dental materials according to the ISO standards.
