Accreditation

Norwegian Accreditation has accredited NIOM since 1992.

This accreditation constitutes official third-party recognition

that NIOM operates a quality system, is technical competent

and is able to generate technically valid results. NIOM

complies with the international standard ISO 17025 (General

requirements for the competence of testing and calibration

laboratories). Accredited test reports from NIOM have many

advantages for the client:

• The measurements in the reports are reliable.
• Notified bodies throughout Europe will accept the test
  reports.
• The reports provide a sound basis for certification
  through conformity assessment with the Essential
  Requirements of the Medical Device Directive.
