For its 59th edition, the dental community in Sweden will come together to set the agenda for the industry and discuss the way forward. Over three days, participants of Riksstämman and Swedental will gather in Umeå to learn about the latest research, product news, and network through various social events.

Mina Sagen, PhD, specialist in prosthetic dentistry and researcher, and Per Vult von Steyern, Professor in Prosthetic dentistry and CEO, at NIOM, will be presenting “Dental zirconia, an astonishing development” on Wednesday 15 November 2023.

Attend the session to learn more about the possibilities to solve different clinical situations with zirconium dioxide have never been as varied as now. New materials offer simpler treatments and replacements that are less sensitive to chip-off fractures compared to earlier. The choice of material and material combinations are, however, more complex with a lot of alternatives to choose from. The lecture will discuss considerations for the selection of materials and cementations techniques, to avoid pitfalls associated with zirconia reconstructions.

The event running from 15 – 17 November is the most important meeting places for Swedish dentistry in the Nordic region. It is a good opportunity for the entire dental team to come together and meet suppliers in a professional context
